Jan Coumaris

Jan Comaris - Good News Club Director

Meet our Good News Club Director, Jan Comaris who is also a Staff Missionary in Southeast WI. She has been establishing and maintaining Good News Club in the public schools throughout Southeast Wisconsin since 2002 and prior to that she was the CEF Director's Secretary. Jan received her Bachelor's degree in Education at UWM-Milwaukee and went on to teach 4th and 5th grade in Hartford, WI public schools for 11 years. She accepted Christ as her Savior in 1979, just two weeks before her first child was born. Jan homeschooled her children for 12 years, taught Sunday School and volunteered in the AWANA program at her church. For 7 years, Jan also coordinated the Children's Ministry program at Fort Wilderness, a Christian camp in northern Wisconsin. Jan became involved in the Child Evangelism Fellowship ministry in 1996 after her oldest son served as a Summer Missionary for three years. Her and her other two children received Summer Missionary training and taught 5-Day Clubs together. Jan is married to Frank and they have raised three children together and have five grandchildren. She has had a calling to bring the Word of God to children since she became a child of God herself.

Maribeth Pipkorn

Maribeth Pipkorn - Director of Training

Maribeth is the Director of Training for CEF of Southeast WI and is supported as a Staff Missionary. She is a Milwaukee native and has been associated with CEF since 2005. Her passion for reaching children with the Gospel began when she was invited to help at a Good News Club. Maribeth went on to serve CEF by participating in the Christian Youth in Action program as a Summer Missionary. God called her to full-time ministry with CEF in 2012. She served in Minnesota as the Good News Club Coordinator for CEF in the Twin Cities. In the fall of 2014, she graduated from the Children's Ministries Institute located at CEF headquarters in Warrenton MO and moved back to Wisconsin to join the Southeast WI team.

Her desire is to fulfill Paul's exhortation in Timothy 2:2 - "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

Leah Pipkorn

Leah Pipkorn - Assistant to the Director and the Summer Ministries Coordinator

Leah is the Assistant to the Director and the Summer Ministries Coordinator for CEF of Southeast WI, she is also a staff missionary at CEF. She has been involved with CEF since 2007 when she began helping with an after-school Good News Club. Leah realized her passion for reaching children with the Gospel, and went on to serve as a volunteer until she felt called to come on staff in 2014. In the fall of 2015, she graduated from the Children's Ministries Institute at CEF Headquarters in Warrenton, MO.

Her desire is to ""Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Carolyn Gross

Carolyn Gross – Assistant to the State Director / Administration SEWI

Carolyn has been involved in the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship for over 30 years and is a Staff Missionary within our chapter. She spent 19 years in the Fox Valley in Wisconsin ministering to the children as the local director. She went on to join the staff of the Southeast Chapter in 1999 as Director of Training. In 2003, Carolyn became the Executive Local Director. Carolyn accepted a new position with the State Office in the fall of 2016 where she will be the Assistant to the State Director. She continues to serve the local chapter in an administrative role on a part-time basis. Carolyn received a teaching degree from UW-Eau Claire, and Advanced Studies Certificate from Moody Bible Institute. She is certified as a Leadership Training Instructor with Child Evangelism Fellowship.

A special portion of scripture for Carolyn is Psalm 78:6-8:

"That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments; and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God."
